My name is Jon Forbis and I am a December 2007 graduate of Westwood College Online. From a background perspective, I started my online classes here in 2004 at the age of 33. In 2003, with a hodgepodge of experience ranging from food and beverage management to miscellaneous office jobs, I was fortunate to land a job with a startup software company in the Kansas City area. Working for a technology startup gave me the opportunity to get my hands around many facets of business. I wore multiple hats at this job including: front-end website design, account management, client training and more. After about a year, I was ready to go further in developing my career and maybe try something different. I was influenced by the visual effects of a blockbuster movie and became interested in CGI and 3D animation. I did the research and knew if I was going to pursue this interest, I would need to get formal training and a college degree under my belt. For geographic reasons, and because of the exceptional reviews of their program, I chose Westwood College Online.
